Summary
● Type PCS-2 Rapid-setting Additive for Portland Cement and Concrete Products, is a kind of special admixtures for causing portland cement products and concrete rapid-setting, fast-hardening, high early strength.
● Compared with Rapid-setting Additive for Shotcrete, type PCS-2 Rapid-setting Additive has better performance in causing portland cement or concrete rapid-setting, fast-hardening, high early strength. And type PCS-2 almost does not damage the late strength of cement or concrete.

Technical Data
● Setting and Hardening Time: when W/C ratio, Cement/Sand ratio, working temperature, and other mixing materials ratio are not same, initial setting, final setting and hardening time will be different.

Characteristics
● Appearance: grey or taupe powder
● Innocuity, non-burn, without chlorine content, non-corrosion to reinforcing steel bar
● Setting Time: after mixing PCS-2 into Portland cement, following with the increase of mixed quantity of additive, the setting time will be shorter.
● High Early Strength: testing grade 42.5 OPC, after mixing PCS-2, compressive strength at 1d of the mortar can reach about 14Mpa, and the late strength will have stable rise. Compressive Strength and Breaking Strength both will exceed the original strength value of Portland Cement.
● Distensibility: the free expansion ratio after mixing the Rapid-setting Additive is higher than original Portland cement.
● Dry Shrinkage: after mixing type PCS-2, the dry shrinkage ratio each age is lower than the original Portland cement.
● Sulfate Resistance: the erosion coefficient of OPC mixed with PCS-2 will higher than the original OPC. It shows the sulfate resistance performance of the OPC with Rapid-setting Additive excel to the original OPC.
● Without toxicity polluting radioactive and corrosive, none magnetized.
Application
Type PCS-2 is always used in making the following products,
● Artware, decorative articles
● Cement Products with European style, Landscape arts
● Wall Plate, Cement Bricks, Flowerpot
● Inner layers of Safe Deposit Box
● Foamed Concrete or Foamed Cement Board
● Other cement products and concrete building
Usage
● Recommended added quantity: generally, 5.0 to 6.0% of cement weight; for light weight cement or foaming cement / concrete products, 5.0 to10.0% of cement weight.
The final added quantity must be confirmed as per performance request of mortar or concrete, and different ratio and change of mixing materials, and different production and construction condition; the test result in labs will be as the final added data.
● When batches of cement and type PCS-2 are changed, for the new and exact added quantity, the trial in Labs must be done again.
For special request of products, the added quantity will be not limited, maybe more than 6.0%.
● W/C Ratio recommended: about 0.30
● Temperature of working room and mixing water: normal temperature, recommended not less than 25℃; it is the best to improve the temperature of mixing water attaining 40℃ for getting the faster hardening time, but not more than 60℃.
● Mixing Process: first to mix type PCS-2 in dry together with white cement and sand to even, then to add mixing water and continue to mix to even, recommended mixing time in dry and wet not less than 3 minutes.
● After demoulding, the cement products should be cured in wet.
● Blocked or wetted cement can not be allowed to use again.
● To recommend to be used together with type WRA-I Water-reducing Reinforcing Additive.
Transport, Storage and Package
● Transport:
Classification for conveyance - not required. During the transportation of a large of amount of batteries by ship, trailer or railway, do not leave them in the places of high temperatures and do not allow to exposed to moisture. During the transportation do not allow the packages to be fallen down or damaged.
● Storage:
to be stored with intact sack in dry. If the sack open, it should be use soon to avoid to be damaged.
● Package:
plastic woven bag with sole PP bag, 25kg/bag, and /or big bag.
