Acid Resistance Binder

Summary

● Acid Resistant Binder(A.R. Binder), also named Acid Resistant Mortar, Acid Proof Cement or Acid Proof Adhesive, is composed of special acid-proof powder(Product A, including dry powder and hardener) and special acid-proof mixing solution (Product B).

● A.R. Binder has special intumescence character, and better chemical stability. It is effective for resistance corrosion of strong acid and low consistency acid. And our Acid Proof Adhesive has excellent resistant corrosion to organic solvent, acidity saline goods, oxidizability agent for example hydrogen peroxide, chlorine gas, etc.

● At the same time, Acid Resistant Binder has good resistance leakage of water.

● Acid Resistant Binder is a kind of prestressed adhesive with temperature resistance, pressure resistance and acid resistance.

Application

● Acid Resistant Binder is used in acid resistance corrosion construction of many industries, for example oil, chemistry, metallurgy, pharmacy, food, textile, plating, etc.

● Acid Resistant Binder is used for affixing Acid Proof Bricks and as joint sealing materials of Acid Proof Bricks, making acid proof concrete, etc.

Physical Performance

● Acid Resistant Binder mixed evenly must be applied in 30 minutes.

● As reference, after 7 days via acid treatment and maintenance in 20±2℃, shaped Acid Resistance Binder has the physical performance as follow:

Compressive Strength: 35Mpa Min

Breaking Strength: 3.0Mpa Min

Bond Strength: 3.0Mpa Min;

Coal Oil Absorption Rate: 8% Max;

Shrinkage Rate: 4.8‰ Max;

Temperature Resistance: about 600-700℃

Intumescence Rate: about 0.43‰

Elastic Modulus: about 1.96x10⁴

Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: about 5.9x10^-6

Modulation of Acid Resistant Binder

● Modulation Rate by weight: Product A : Product B = 2.4-2.6 : 1

● Modulation Steps and Way of Acid Resistant Binder:

First, triturate the Hardener materials of Product A;

Second, evenly mixing Acid Resistant Powder and Hardener of Product A as per the weight rate of 100:6.5±0.5;

Third, put Product A (Acid Resistant Powder with Hardener) into Product B(Acid-proof Mixing Solution), and mixing them until they are very symmetrical. Usually the time of mixing in stirring machine is about 2 minutes, the time of mixing via manual work is about 3-5 minutes.

● Quantity Confected Every Time

Acid Resistant Binder that is mixed even will be concreting within about 30 minutes when temperature at 50℃. So the confected quantity of Acid Resistance Binder every times should comply with operating limit in 30 minutes.

● The concentration of Acid Resistant Binder: 295±10 as per asphalt pin-type test.

● Ambient Temperature when applying Acid Resistant Binder: 20 to 35℃.

Usage (only for reference)

● When to be singly used: 1.5cm to 2cm of the recommended binder thickness, or as per the request in the design of the project;

● For Affixing Acid Proof Tile: not less than 6mm, or as per the request of the project;

● Specific Gravity of shaped Acid Resistant Binder after to be confected: about 2.5g/cm3

Maintain and Brushing Acid Treatment

● Acid proof Lining which is made of Acid Resistant Binder must be dried and maintained over 14 days in 15℃ at least, or 5-7 days in 25-35℃. After maintained, brushing acid treatment two times with mixed solution of alcohol and hydrochloric acid as per the volumetric rate 1:3 of alcohol to hydrochloric acid.

● If Acid Resistant Binder is used in affixing Acid Proof Tiles as stickup materials, the acid treatment is unnecessary.

Just like grey portland cement, white portland cement (also simply named white cement) always has slower setting and lower early strength. Type WCS Rapid-setting Accelerators can cause white cement mortar, cement products or concrete products, paint of white cement, etc., rapid setting, fast hardening and high early strength. So it can help white cement products to get the effect of shorter setting time and rapider demould. And after using type WCS Rapid-setting Accelerator, the late strength of white cement products will not fall and even can get improvements in a way. This item includes two acid-resistancing products, Acid Resistance Bricks and Acid Resistance Binder.
